It's been a while since I've been desiring to make a very feminine purse, quite like this one. Last weekend I finaly decided to get to work and came out with this beauty!
A few days ago a very dear friend gave me a towel and asked me to add a little floral strap in order to make it more feminine. In less than 10 minutes it was ready. I enjoyed so much the results that I took two more towels I had at home and repeated the process.
This Stegosaurus pillow was a request that my little brother made to me in September 2010, but my mom said not to make it and wait for the "dinosaur phase" to go by. But it did not go by and eventually he would ask me for the pillow, so I decided to give in and I gave him this pillow as a birthday present last month!
Créditos: meu namorado, Diogo, que me ajudou a montar o dino! Credits: to my boyfriend, Diogo, who helped me put the dino together.
As of now, this is the project I loved the most. Every new stitch I would stop to admire it. And it gave that good feeling that I wanted to hide it from the world until the day I decided to became a mom. This bag had a very special destiny, it was a present to Felipe, my fiance's little cousin that will be born next month.
Lateral com lacinho para ficar mais fofo Side loop to make it look cuter
On it's left side I have a little cabinet with three drawers where I keep tinny useful things. On the first drawer I keep all the little thread, some pins, some ribbon and my sewing machine's feet.
In the middle drawer I keep all kinds of sewing machine accessories and some of my quilting thread.
In the bottom drawer I keep all the hair stuff I use to add some nice patchwork flowers
As for my desk it self, it has 4 little side drawers and one large central drawer.
The central drawer is where I keep my cutting material
As well as all my Work In Progress
In the side drawers:
At the top, I keep all I need to have in hand and use more often
In the second drawer I have all my boardings and some material I use to take to school
Then I have my stickers collections, my scissors collections and some zipper
At the bottom I keep all the batting scraps that are always very useful
At the floor I have a second basket full of smaller pieces of fabric as well as a box with all my hand quilting thread
Now, the only item that has never appeared in this blog is my desk itself, and I have a pretty good reason to keep it out of the flash: it's always so messy!! Maybe some day when I am up for a major clean I will be able to picture it!
One of my favorite category of posts I like to see on other craft blogs are the posts about craftrooms. It always gives me great ideas and I love to see where other crafters work. So here is MY post about my craftroom and how I organize it. Enjoy!!
Let's start with my scraps. I used to have then all mixed in a bag and it was a completely mess, so I decided to separate then per color. My Fiancee gave me the idea to storage then in these Tennis Ball cases and it fit perfectly!
This is where the scraps were placed, at the top of my cabinet, along with my patchwork and fashion magazines.
As for the rest of my cabinet...
This is where I keep the biggest pieces of fabric along with some other material, such as glue and thread This is where I keep all sorts of material that I do not know how to organize :DAt the open bottom of the cabinet...
These are some old fashion books and my Disney collection This box is where I place my buttons, I also love putting little fabric rows into these vases, they look so cute!
Some more threat and this box has all sorts of different threats
My messy desk will be on the next post!
If also have a post on your blog about your craftroom, please past the link on the comments I will be so happy to visit it!
This Eco bag I made for my mom to go shopping since effective today, January 25th, the state we live in, no longer allows the use of plastic bags in the markets and the stores. I would like to take this opportunity to encourage all my readers and followers to stop using plastic bags. Together, we can change the world.
This one I made for my mom as a Christmas present. After it was ready I decided I did not like the boarding color, so I changed it to a Camel colored one.
